Description of work (150 words):

Fast Car, fast enough we could cross into the city,
You and I could both get jobs, finally see what is missing to be living,
and I had a feeling, a feeling we just could be someone…

Fast Carp is a reflection of my upbringing in a fast-paced working family.
Growing up, both my parents worked as an automobile and hardware engineer, as they drove me to their jobs in industrial parks.
Amidst the metals and scraps, I found interest in the familiar sight of Chinese charms hanging in my dad's car. A symbol of luck and prosperity that adorned our home too, the Double Carp, with its promise of continuous flow of wealth and blessings.
Home in my earliest memories intertwining with the rhythm of their jobs encapsulates our family's adventures in my dad’s car and home full of Chinese decor, a tribute to our middle-class roots and aspirations.
